A sad heart....

It is with a very heavy heart that we let everyone know that our dear friend, family member, and loved one Crystal passed away last night, April 23, 2009. She was surrounded by her family and friends. All of your love and prayers over the last few months have truly been such a blessing to Crystal and all of her family.

Crystal lived her life devoted to her family Jason, Gaven, Aiden and Rylee.

She will be missed immeasurably. I will update with news of arrangements in the upcoming days. Thank you for being a part of such a truly amazing life.

  6. Crystal was a brave and beautiful soul. Her love for her family was fierce. She touched so many lives as a nurse, a mother and a friend. She has taught us all how to live our lives better and to cherish those things that matter. I will miss Crystal's laugh and energy. I will miss hearing her talk with such joy about her children. I pray for comfort for her family. We love you Crystal.

  13. I was so incredibly sad to hear the news. I have been following her blog since she was diagnosed and have prayed for her eveyday. Even though I didn't actually know her, I was truly touched by her story and felt like I was able to get to know her through this blog. My heart goes out to Jason, her children, all of her family and friends. It's obvious she has an amazing group of family and friends who have been so supportive and loving through all of this. She was very blessed. May God give Jason, their children, and her family strength during this incredibly difficult time. My thoughts and prayers continue for this courageous woman and her family.

  14. The house is full at the moment, we are sharing memories of precious memories of our beloved Crystal. I miss her so much! But what gets me the most, is when I see Rylee, one year old now, looking around for her mama. I see her playing, or eating or pulling on Bogie's tail, but she is looking around.

Many faces are in her house, but where is mama? What will happen when we leave to go back to our own homes, our own lives? I am crying for Rylee and Aiden, their home will be a lot more empty soon.

    Where is mama?

  15. We knew her for only a short time, but so obvious what a wonderful wife, mother, friend she was to all. One couldn't help but smile in her presence. It's hard to let go; everyone she touched was blessed to know her~a gift. So thank you, Crystal. May your loved one's never forget, you'll ever be looking at them with love. May everyone 'hold on' to that truth - she's not far away. J&L

  20. I am truly sorry for your loss. I have known about Crystal's story since October thru relatives of hers that I share. My heart goes out to Jason, their children, family and friends.

I also want to let you know about a foundation that may be of help to Jason - The Liz Logelin Foundation - http://thelizlogelinfoundation.org/about/ - I am in no way affiliated with this foundation. I have just followed Matt Logelin's story as a widowed father. He established this foundation in the name of his wife, Liz, who passed away last year.

    Sending many hugs and prayers,
    Gaby

  21. Crystal and her family will always be in my thoughts and prayers. She was such a beautiful person and I am grateful for the time that she came into my family's life. She was so gullible and goofy. I will never forget her huge smile. The service was beautiful today and I know she is in a better place.
