I am not sure if you quite know me but my name is Tristan Close. I am one of the Soichers friends and know your son Gaven through some of the baseball stuff the Soichers do.
I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I am going through somewhat the same thing only I am a younger and my treatment hasn't been as rushed as yours.
Chemo therapy can be really really tough. Going through it I remember just thinking of how bad it sucked and I just wanted it to be over with. It really made me extremely sick. Something that helped me was taking it one day at a time and thinking about all the support I had made me feel good too.
Radiation isn't nearly as hard as chemo however since you have it in the same day I am guessing its really difficult. I just started radiation today and since I have mostly recovered from chemo it seemed easy.
I can't imagine going through all this when I get older though. I am lucky I got it now and still have a young body to fight back with.
